Sept 28th :    CAT CAT VILLAGE

Cat Cat Village is about 2.5 km from Sapa town.. Set in the Moung Hoa Valley, Cat Cat Village is known for its natural beauty and the Hmong culture and traditions.

Traditional wood huts, some serving as homestays overlook mountainside rice field terraces  ......a breath taking view indeed.

Cat Cat Village was founded in the middle of 19th Century by the local Mong ethnic. In the early 20th Century the French discovered the village and developed it into a vacation resort.

This village owns a majestic waterfall, whose French name is CatScat. and therefore the village was named after this waterfall....Cat Cat village attracts tourists not only by its unspoiled natural beauty but also by the unique cultural features of its Mong people. Besides cultivating rice on the terraced fields, the residents still preserve and develop traditional crafts.

the view as we walk along the road....
and before long we discovered a real HIDDEN GEM , a very inconspicuous little hidden cafe ....called ART CAFE . we took thousands of photos and videos...found out the owner/hubby is an artist and all the crafts and artworks are painted and made by him....
Its just super COOL place to chill... with a fantastic backdrop of the mountain range with its misty tops and undulating rice terraces......
We returned to this cafe later and the next day as well !
